Came in a basket for momma in feb,
Hardly a shy, younger one, we said.
Especially cute asleep at the foot of the bed,
Slightly a nuisance when he snored or shed.
Trotted round the neighborhood blocks
Encouraging bypassers to stop and greet
Returning to him was such a treat!
